Amanda O'Donoghue - Yoga Teacher

I took my first yoga class almost 25 years ago, however it wasn't until I moved to Singapore in 2008 that I came to discover what yoga would mean in my life.
Initially I practiced Hatha yoga and undertook teacher training in this discipline to deepen my understanding and practice.

On returning to New Zealand in 2010 I was searching for a practice that would in some way fulfil the rich, deep experiences Singapore provided.
I found it in Iyengar yoga with Loris Mills in Queenstown and under Loris' guidance I began the path to teaching Iyengar yoga.

Loris introduced me to workshops with Peter Thomson in 2013 and I now hold the introductory level teachers certificate.
Integrity takes me to my mat but it is exploration and joy that keeps me there.
I take a sincere approach to both yoga and life and as a result my teaching is patient and compassionate.

I hope to help others find their "peaceful joy" in this sometimes chaotic world.
To quote Rumi "When you find a peaceful joy that is where you are near your truth."

Amanda hopes that she can help others find their "peaceful joy" in this sometimes chaotic world.
